Ok, so first: I’m obsessed with Mel’s new love interest. I want more of them in book 4! Watching her open herself up was slow and painful, but also beautiful.
Briar. My girl. She is such a badass. She and Doyle are the dream team. I love them so much. But also, hot damn, they go through quite the adventure. My head was spinning! Is he dead?! Is she dead?! Who is even going to be alive at the end of this book? …. You don’t wanna know the answer.
Gabe goes through such intense turmoil. He’s evil, no, he’s fighting it. He can over come it! No, maybe he can’t. He’s going to kill his own friends! No, they’re ok? Maybe? Ok ok, he’s healed. He’s good again. Or not?! HOLY SHIT MAN.
One of my favorite parts of this book was really noticing the relationship between Melody and Erin. They were kind of forced into a friendship way back at the beginning of the series and it has become something so beautiful, where they really bonded and rely on each other. I guess battling side by side against Erebus constantly will do that to you?!
That all being said….I did not see that ending coming…. I won’t give it away. But like…. I have no words that aren’t curse words…. And book 4 better make up for this heartbreak!!!!
