They should be enemies, but they share a common goal: revenge.
Mara has two years of freedom before her father will marry her off for an alliance. As a princess to the Armenian Family, she has a duty, and that duty is to do whatever her father tells her; but Mara never planned on following the rules.
Her freedom is almost up when her neighbor moves and the house sells faster than it has any right to. Mara believes her father has sent another spy. Instead, she finds a man with a vendetta. They decide to form an alliance to carry out their revenge, and save her from a marriage that would ultimately kill her.
But as their deal turns steamy, she wonders if maybe their alliance doesn’t have to end with revenge.

Revenge Next Door is my kind of dark romance: funny, fast-paced, and with a lot of heart. You'll fall in love with the MMC and FMC; despite being a mafioso, Zane is funny, charming, and even vulnerable at times, not a stereotypical "alpha male," and he tells Dad jokes (which may have been a selling point for me). Mara is tough, but extremely relatable; Leigh does a great job of respectfully depicting her trauma while giving her a satisfying arc where she seeks to take back her power. All in all, she and Zane have wonderful chemistry, and their emotional journey is just as satisfying as the spice (which is VERY satisfying to read). I love stories like this, where the situations surrounding the FMC and MMC are dark, but the relationships themselves are wholesome and healthy. I highly recommend Revenge Next Door, and I'm anxiously awaiting its sequel!
Such a fun, spicy romp with all the great dad jokes. If you are about a FMC who can hold her own, and a MMC who will break anything that comes near her if she tells him to (and some questionable shenanigans between them), this is the book for you.
Absolute FIRE! I loved this book! Spicy and funny. The way it flows between dad jokes and mob boss vibes is just perfection!
